Membership Qualifications and Dues Structure for Regular Members

Regular Membership: Any privately owned company authorized to and actively engaged in the transport of passengers for hire in non-school transportation vehicles designed to seat more than 15 passengers without wheelchairs or 6 passengers with wheelchairs may become a voting member of the Association provided the company is under the supervision and jurisdiction of, and has received operating authority from, the New York State Department of Transportation(NYSDOT) and/or the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) or their successor agencies. Such company must operate a significant portion of its passenger transportation business either inside or to/from the State of New York.

A Bus Operator Member agrees to pay annual dues in one of the following categories:

OPTIONAL NYS Transit and Tour PAC Contribution

NYS Transit and Tour Political Action Committee, is the state PAC for the motorcoach operators in New York. It is the PAC, formed and governed by BANY for the sole purpose of advancing our profession's political agenda. BANY has a strong and active Legislative Committee. Combine that with lobby and grassroots advocacy and it becomes "as good as it gets." But advocacy alone is only part of the equation. Simply put, it also requires $$$. Please consider donating to your PAC today. We need your support to make our voices heard.

Associate Membership: Anyone not eligible for regular membership may qualify for an associate membership, according to one of the following categories below:

Supplier Members: (in one of three categories)
Those who supply services or goods to the industry, including equipment and accessory manufacturers, lodging enterprises, CVB's and all others who participate in the general well being and continuance of the industry.

a.	Vehicle Manufacturers	$1000
b.	National Vendors	$500
c.	Local Vendors	$250

Tour and Travel Members - $500:

Those engaged in the businesses of promoting travel arrangements who are normally referred to as travel agents and tour operators.

Non-Voting Bus Company Members - $250:

Those engaged in less than a significant portion of their business inside or to/from the State of New York and who otherwise could qualify for Regular Membership.
