Membership Qualifications and Dues Structure for BANY Membership
Any privately owned company authorized to, and actively engaged in,the transport of passengers for hire in non-school transportation vehicles designed to seat more than 15 passengers without wheelchairs or 6 passengers with wheelchairs may become a voting member of the Association provided the company is under the supervision and jurisdiction of, and has received operating authority from, the NYSDOT and/or the FMCSA or their successor agencies. Such company must operate a significant portion of its passenger transportation business either inside or to/from the State of New York.
A Regular Bus Operator Member agrees to pay annual dues in one of the following categoriesbased on your fleet size:
~ Voluntary Suggested Contribution NYS Transit and Tour Political Action Committee, is the state PAC for the motorcoach operators in New York . It was formed for the sole purpose of advancing our profession's political agenda. We have a strong and active Legislative Committee, combined wit h lobby and grassroots advocacy and it becomes “as good as it gets.” But advocacy alone is only part of the equation. Simply put, it also requires $$$. Please donate to your PAC today. We need your support to make our voices heard! *IRS Ruling has determined PAC contributions are not tax deductible.
Anyone not eligible for regular membership may qualify for an associate membership according to one of the following categories below:
